And the winner is… Colleen Rogers takes out Administrator of the Year title

Congratulations to Colleen Rogers of the Loddon Valley Football Netball League who was announced the 2014 Sports Focus ‘Administrator of the Year’. Colleen was presented with the award on Friday 28th February, 2014 at the 49th Annual Sports Star of the Year Awards night in Bendigo.

Described as a “dynamic administrator and positive role model”, Colleen has been instrumental in the successful amalgamation of the Loddon Valley Football League and Loddon Valley Netball Association to form the Loddon Valley Football Netball League. Currently Board Chair of the Loddon Valley Football Netball League, Colleen’s commitment and passion for football and netball across Central Victoria has seen her develop a reputation as a determined but fair administrator. Colleen was involved in the selection of the AFL Central Victoria Commission, which oversees the operation of football in this region.

Colleen has held a number of administrative roles at both a club and league level over the past 20 years. Colleen’s commitment and dedication to each role has been greeted with energy and a quiet determination to succeed.

From executive committee positions to the less glamorous, but equally vital roles of overseeing catering and laundering jumpers, Colleen continues to give her time and energy to ensure the ongoing success of the Loddon Valley Football Netball League.

• Brent Yates for his contributions to the Strathfieldsaye Cricket Club (City of Greater Bendigo)
